Color Coding Weed: New System Easily Categorizes Cannabis By Effects (Energetic, Uplifting, Calming, Resting)

From Nasdaq:

Discover Your Color (DYC) is an enterprise software service aiming to redefine cannabis product selection. Developing a four-color system based on Certificate of Analysis data, it streamlines cannabis classification for consumers. DYC aims to create a more streamlined approach for customers to understand and predict the effects of different cannabis products.

This new color-coding system categorizes cannabis into four groups, represented by colors (green, yellow, purple, and blue) corresponding to specific effects like energetic, uplifting, calming, and resting. With a more reliable and intuitive approach than traditional Indica/Sativa classifications, this streamlined approach simplifies choice for consumers and provides dispensaries with valuable insights into customer preferences.

Piloted at Flore Dispensary in California, DYC presented early success, with a 12.5% increase in revenue within six months following implementation. Owner Nathan Whittington commended the system for aligning product offerings with consumer expectations, reflecting its ability to boost sales and customer satisfaction.

With plans to expand nationwide after further California onboarding, Discover Your Color hopes to revolutionize cannabis retail on a grand scale, impacting not just local dispensaries but the broader cannabis retail sector. This color-coding system could change entire consumer behavior in the world of cannabis.
