Lucid Group aims to be the first automaker to offer advanced self-driving capabilities in its vehicles. They plan to debut a “mind-off” driving system using Nvidia’s technology in the coming years. Lucid’s interim CEO, Marc Winterhoff, is optimistic about the ambitious goal and the partnership with Nvidia. The company also plans to increase automated technologies on its current vehicles. Other automakers have struggled to deliver on promises of personal self-driving vehicles. Lucid’s goal is to achieve Level 4 High Driving Automation, surpassing competitors in the industry. The company announced its self-driving technology plans at the Nvidia GTC conference in Washington, D.C.
