Woolworths Group saw a 2.7% increase in total sales in Q1 of FY26, reaching A$18.48bn. E-commerce was the main driver, with online sales rising 13.2% year-on-year. Australian Food sales grew to A$13.89bn, while B2B sales climbed 6.2% to A$1.56bn.

New Zealand Food sales rose 3.2% to NZ$2.19bn, and W Living sales increased by 3.3% to A$1.39bn. BIG W reported a 1% rise in total sales to A$1.14bn. MyDeal, an online platform closed in September 2025, generated A$14m in sales.

Despite growth, CEO Amanda Bardwell noted Q1 sales were “below our aspirations.” Fresh and grocery food categories performed well, while pet, baby, and tobacco sales struggled. E-commerce sales increased by 12.9%, with on-demand growth a highlight. Plans are in place for a strong festive season.
