4D Molecular Therapeutics (4DMT) has entered into a strategic partnership with Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to develop and commercialize 4D-150 for wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME) in the Asia-Pacific region. The partnership includes an $85 million upfront cash payment to 4DMT, with potential milestone payments totaling up to $336 million and tiered double-digit royalties. 4DMT will lead global Phase 3 clinical trials, while Otsuka will manage regulatory and commercial activities in licensed territories, aiming to bring 4D-150 to market globally. The therapy aims to provide durable benefits to patients with retinal vascular diseases.
