The latest data from the International Agency for Research on Cancer shows that lung cancer had the highest number of new cases globally in 2022.
Lung cancer and female breast cancer have been the most commonly diagnosed cancers globally, with lung cancer claiming more lives.
The American Cancer Society forecasts a record-high in new cancer diagnoses in the U.S. in 2024, with growing cancer rates among young adults and certain subsets of the population being of particular concern.
