Polestar notified by Nasdaq for failing to meet minimum bid price of $1 due to competition pressure. The Swedish EV firm offers discounts and leasing incentives to boost sales, but faces stiff competition from Tesla and BYD. Its U.S. shares closed at 84 cents, down 20% this year and over 50% last year.
Nasdaq gives Polestar until April 29, 2026, to regain compliance by having U.S.-listed shares close at $1+ for ten consecutive days. If not, the company may get an additional 180-day extension. This is Polestar’s second time facing Nasdaq non-compliance after a potential delisting last year.
