John Lewis is opening a VIP area, the John Lewis Lounge, at its Oxford Street store for loyalty card members. Customers can enjoy complimentary drinks, massages, and chocolates. The retailer is investing £800m in store renovations and adding unique experiences to attract customers. The lounge accommodates up to 30 customers per hour.

The new VIP space is part of John Lewis’s strategy to revitalize its department stores and increase in-store services. With a surge in loyalty card sign-ups, the company aims to offer more reasons to shop in its stores. Pre-tax losses surged to £88m due to increased costs, but the retailer remains optimistic about driving higher profits.
