Deutsche Telekom and Nvidia have launched the Industrial AI Cloud, a €1bn project operational in early 2026, offering 50% more AI computing power in Germany. SAP and other firms have joined, with SAP providing Business Technology Platform support, and Deutsche Telekom supplying the physical infrastructure. The cloud platform will uphold data protection standards on the “Deutschland-Stack.”

The Industrial AI Cloud includes over 1,000 Nvidia DGX B200 systems and Nvidia RTX PRO Servers with up to 10,000 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, integrated with software like Nvidia CUDA-X and Omniverse. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated the initiative will supercharge Germany’s industrial transformation. The platform aims to accelerate AI adoption in manufacturing, supporting various industries from robotics to predictive maintenance.

The broader AI ecosystem around the Industrial AI Cloud involves around ten companies, identified as a flagship initiative under “Made 4 Germany” to strengthen competitiveness and advance economic digitalization. The platform aims to provide scalable GPU capacity to large organizations, SMEs, and startups under flexible terms. Deutsche Telekom CEO emphasized the opportunity AI presents for product improvement and strengthening European strengths.
