European stocks fell despite U.S. and Asian market recoveries. Germany’s industrial production rose 1.3% in September, following a 3.7% decline in August. The Stoxx 600 dropped 0.3%, with the DAX down 0.4% and CAC 40 down 0.9%. A.P. Møller – Mærsk shares fell 6.3%, while Zalando surged 7% after a strong Q3. Henkel rose 2%, but Commerzbank fell 1.6% on weak results. ArcelorMittal jumped 5% on a 31% rise in net income. Swisscom rose 1.7% on a revenue increase, while Skanska tumbled 4.3% on disappointing Q3 profit. AstraZeneca rose 1% after reaffirming guidance.
