Elon Musk took drugs with Tesla board members: Report
From Fortune:
Multiple current and former Tesla and SpaceX directors knew about Elon Musk’s illegal drug use, according to the Wall Street Journal. Concerns arose about the volume of drug use, with some directors and Musk partaking. Musk’s $55 billion pay package was voided by a judge this week due to board conflicts of interest. His lawyer did not respond to a comment request.
Elon Musk’s drug use reportedly involved LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms, often at private parties. Musk responded to the WSJ report by saying he should “keep doing it” if what he was doing helped improve his productivity. Some friends and directors allegedly felt compelled to take drugs with Musk, fearing it might upset him and cause them to lose social status.
Musk oversees six companies: Tesla, SpaceX, social media platform X, tunneling venture The Boring Co., brain implant developer Neuralink, and artificial intelligence startup xAI. He suggested in a tweet that if drugs helped his productivity, he would definitely take them. Friends and directors were reported to have taken drugs with Musk to avoid upsetting him and to maintain their social standing.
