Elon Musk’s pursuit of a global fleet of humanoid robots, autonomous robotaxis, and 20 million electric vehicles has paid off as 75% of Tesla shareholders vote to make him worth $1 trillion. However, proxy advisory firms ISS and Glass Lewis, as well as Norway’s sovereign wealth fund and state retirement funds of California and New York, opposed the ultra-massive pay package. Musk’s pay is tied to reaching milestones like delivering 20 million EVs, 10 million full-self driving subscriptions, and a market cap of $8.5 trillion. Achieving this would boost Musk’s ownership stake in Tesla to 25%.
