Zurich Insurance Group has named Megan Shao as chief claims officer for the Asia-Pacific region, starting February 1, 2026. Shao, who previously worked at AXA XL, brings over 17 years of claims management experience, including at Zurich Insurance. She will lead claims operations, strategies, and focus on enhancing customer service.

Shao, proficient in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese, will be based in Singapore and report to Zurich Insurance Asia-Pacific’s chief technical officer. She aims to improve operational practices, team development, and regional claims processes. Zurich Insurance Asia-Pacific is excited to have her back and benefit from her expertise in strengthening claims services for customers.

In another update, Zurich Insurance Asia-Pacific has introduced Zurich Edge Assist, a new module within the Zurich Edge Platform. Developed with input from agents and brokers, this tool aims to support sales, servicing, and claims teams and intermediaries. It offers a unified platform with role-based access and customized functionality for users, enhancing efficiency and service quality.
