The executive leading Tesla’s Cybertruck business is leaving after eight years. Siddhant Awasthi, program manager for Cybertruck and Model 3, announced his departure on LinkedIn but did not disclose future plans. Awasthi detailed his contributions at Tesla, including work on Model 3 and Cybertruck.

Tesla recalled over 63,000 Cybertrucks in the U.S. due to front lights being too bright, posing a distraction risk. In March, U.S. safety regulators recalled over 46,000 Cybertrucks for exterior panel detachment while driving, creating a hazard. Tesla’s quarterly profit declined for the fourth consecutive time in October.

Despite Tesla’s struggles, Elon Musk won a shareholder vote for stock worth $1 trillion if performance targets are met in the next decade. The vote was a victory for Musk, showing continued investor faith amidst declining sales and profits. Tesla’s stock rose over 2% before the market opened on Monday.
