French crypto hardware wallet provider Ledger is considering a New York listing due to rising cyberattacks, with 2025 revenues expected to reach hundreds of millions. Founded in 2014 in Paris, Ledger is seeing increased demand as individuals and institutions seek protection from sophisticated hackers.
Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier warned of escalating hacking threats targeting bank accounts and cryptocurrencies. In 2025, $2.2 billion was stolen in crypto-related thefts, surpassing 2024’s total. Approximately 23% of attacks targeted individual wallets, according to Chainalysis.
Ledger secures around $100 billion worth of Bitcoin and may capitalize on holiday demand surges. Considering a private round or U.S. listing, the company is expanding its New York operations. Gauthier emphasized the importance of New York in the crypto industry, stating that “money is in New York today for crypto.”
