Indian shares were slightly lower despite positive global cues and news of a potential trade deal with the U.S. BSE Sensex down 249 points, NSE Nifty slipped 79 points.

Bajaj Finance dropped 7% despite double-digit profit growth. Britannia Industries fell 5.4% as MD Varun Berry resigned. Bharat Forge and Tata Power down before earnings release. Vodafone Idea up 3.6% after reducing quarterly net loss. Bharat Electronics rose 1.4% with additional orders worth Rs. 792 crore.

Bazaar Style Retail gained 1% with positive results for September quarter.
