Sony Group Corp. reported higher profit and sales in the first half, leading to a 5.1% increase in its shares in Japan. Net income attributable to stockholders for the six months ended September 30 was 598.88 billion yen, with earnings per share at 99.22 yen. Operating income grew by 20.4% to 768.93 billion yen, and total sales from continuing operations increased by 3.5% to 5.73 trillion yen. Sony raised its forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, expecting a 1.6% decline in net income but a 12% rise in operating income. Dividends for the year are projected at 25.00 yen per share.
