Insurance carrier Hadron is set to launch operations in the EU in early 2026, expanding from the US and UK. With $250m in capital from Altamont Capital Partners, the company plans to support specialty underwriters, MGAs, MGUs, programme administrators, and reinsurance partners in the region.

Since its inception in 2023, Hadron has grown to over 75 employees and established four insurance entities. The company’s platform, supported by Altamont Capital Partners, allows for expansion into new markets and products, attracting ten new MGA programs in the UK.

CEO Sam Reeder highlighted Hadron’s growth and model, emphasizing the balance of underwriting discipline and innovation. The international division, led by Colin Johnson, is gearing up for the EU launch in 2026 with an expanded leadership team and regulatory approval pending.

With plans to increase premium volumes in 2026, Hadron’s Collider technology platform manages data ingestion for premiums, exposures, and claims. The company’s strategic approach aims to provide transparency and efficiency for its partners, fostering sustainable growth in the insurance sector.
