Disillusioned Americans lose faith in almost every profession: Gallup

1. Despite the current state of the economy, Americans seem to have a growing mistrust in the workforce. According to Gallup’s latest poll, most professions have declined in terms of their moral standing in the eyes of the public.

2. Even professions such as senators, clergy, and journalists aren’t immune to this decline in trust. People with a college education and those leaning towards different political parties also appear to trust different jobs more or less.

3. The perception of what jobs are most trustworthy seems to depend on how one identifies. Younger generations, such as Gen Z, are striving for jobs that align with their morals and values, creating tension between doing what feels right and what pays well.
