US energy drink start-up Lucky Energy has raised $25m in its Series B funding round led by Paine Schwartz Partners. The company plans to use the funds to support retail expansion, bolster partnerships, hire new employees, and increase marketing efforts. Lucky Energy is currently available in 15,000 US retail locations and aims to expand to 35,000 locations next year. The company’s portfolio includes sugar-free energy drinks in various flavors. Lucky Energy is also exploring global markets, with plans to enter Jamaica. The latest funding brings the total raised to $63m, with previous investments from InvestBev and Maveron.
