Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 experienced a midair blowout due to missing bolts in a door plug on a Boeing 737 Max 9. The incident prompted the grounding of the Max 9 by the FAA. Boeing’s CEO took responsibility for the manufacturing defect and stated the company will work to earn back confidence. The NTSB is continuing to investigate the incident.
