Soybean prices surged on Thursday, with nearbys up 10 to 13 ¼ cents and back months 2 to 8 ½ cents higher. Cash bean prices averaged $10.73. Soybean meal futures rose $2.50 to $7.40, while soy oil futures saw a decrease of 30 to 37 points.
Export Sales data for the week of September 25 revealed 870,533 MT of soybeans sold, along with 623,515 MT of soybean meal sales for 2025/26. Bean oil bookings were at 13,598 MT.
USDA will release unreported large daily sales from the shutdown on Friday at 12 noon EST. Weekly reports are expected twice a week until caught up by January 2.
Brazil’s CONAB estimates the 2025/26 soybean crop at 177.6 MMT, a slight decrease from their previous estimate.
Nov 25 soybeans closed at $11.32, nearby cash was $10.73, Jan 26 soybeans closed at $11.47, and Mar 26 soybeans closed at $11.56 3/4. No securities were held by Austin Schroeder on the publication date.
