The Vanguard International Dividend Appreciation ETF provides targeted exposure to non-U.S. companies with a strong commitment to increasing dividends. With a low expense ratio of 0.1%, most gains from the fund’s portfolio could end up in investors’ pockets. The fund is well diversified, holding top five positions in two financial firms, a drugmaker, a food and beverage company, and an enterprise software business. Quarterly dividends may be lumpy due to the international nature of the businesses, but investors buying at recent prices could receive a 1.9% yield over the next 12 months.
