Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) announced a $10 billion investment plan for AI infrastructure in a data center in Portugal, a significant move for Europe. The company will deploy 12,600 next-generation Nvidia GPUs in collaboration with Start Campus, Nscale, and Nvidia to power advanced AI workloads.

In a $9.7 billion deal with data-center operator IREN, Microsoft aims to address computing capacity constraints and meet the growing demand for AI. Dell will deliver roughly $5.8 billion worth of Nvidia’s GB300 chips and equipment to expand computing capacity without constructing new data centers or securing additional power infrastructure.
