Google is investing $40bn in Texas by 2027 to boost cloud and AI infrastructure. The plan includes new data centres in Armstrong and Haskell Counties, adding 6.2 GW of energy to the grid. Google aims to support local energy projects and training for electricians to double the pipeline in Texas.

In addition to Texas, Google Cloud launched its first sovereign cloud hub in Munich to help European organizations comply with data sovereignty laws. Google is also investing €5.5bn in Germany to expand data centre infrastructure and office space, including a new data centre in Dietzenbach and campus expansions in Hanau.
