Inflation is slowing, but Americans are still paying the price

The US economy is booming in many ways, including GDP, job creation, and low unemployment. Despite this, Americans are unhappy and blame President Biden due to higher prices for basics like groceries. Since 2019, grocery prices have risen 22%, compared to 11% the previous decade. Overall, costs for rent, gasoline, and more have spiked. While wages have partly offset these increases, not all workers have benefited equally. Although inflation has slowed to about 3%, the effects on borrowing costs and other industries have been significant. Overall economic recovery may take several years.
