Chinese SharkNinja tycoon worth $3.2 billion with stock near record high
From Fortune:
Wang Xuning, known as “CJ,” invented the world’s first electric machine for making soy milk, a product in high demand in China. After his company, SharkNinja, made a successful move to the US in 2017, he has now made a fortune of $3.2 billion. This comes partially due to the massive success of his company, which became the largest seller of small-kitchen appliances in the US in the three years through 2022.
Many Chinese tycoons have lost money in recent years, but those with investments abroad have faired better. Wang’s company decided to list in New York, where it became public and stock trading reached record highs. SharkNinja has seen a positive outlook, with sales climbing 13% in the nine months through September.
