Cartier Resources Inc. has begun a metallurgical testwork program on samples from its Cadillac Project in Quebec. The program will focus on three gold deposits and be supervised by Soutex, a mineral processing firm in Quebec City. A total of 388.7 kg of samples will undergo cyanidation and gravimetric concentration tests to determine gold recovery rates.
The program aims to define gold recovery rates, improve results from the Chimo deposit, and establish recovery data for East Chimo and West Nordeau deposits. Results are expected in Q1 2026. Additionally, an exploration program from 2025-2027 includes a 100,000 m drilling program to expand known gold zones and test new targets along the Cadillac Fault Zone.
The Cadillac Project covers 14,000 hectares in Quebec and is one of the largest land packages in the Val-d’Or mining camp. With a Preliminary Economic Assessment showing economic viability, the project has indicated resources of 720,000 ounces and inferred resources of 1,633,000 ounces. Cartier Resources Inc. is focused on advancing the Cadillac Project to unlock its full potential.
The scientific and technical content of the project has been reviewed and approved by Mr. Ronan Déroff, P.Geo., M.Sc., Vice President Exploration. Soutex, the consulting firm overseeing the metallurgical program, specializes in mineral processing and metallurgy and offers services from development to plant operations support. Founded in 2000, Soutex has a team of over 40 specialists in Canada and Germany.
