Microsoft is enhancing security for Microsoft 365 E5 users by integrating AI agents from Security Copilot. New interactive agent experience in public preview allows focused chats and guided workflows. Security Copilot taps into Microsoft’s threat intelligence and Sentinel data, delivering more relevant recommendations. Early results show significant improvements, with SOC analysts detecting malicious emails faster and identity teams enhancing Zero Trust policy checks.
Microsoft stock closed 2.7% lower on Tuesday, with after-hours trading showing a further 0.34% decrease. The company positions this cybersecurity shift as a move towards an AI-first approach, where intelligent agents work alongside human experts to combat cyber threats effectively.
