Advanced Micro Devices, Cisco Systems, and Saudi Arabian startup Humain join forces to build data centers in the Middle East. Their first customer, Luma AI, will utilize a 100-megawatt data center in Saudi Arabia. The joint venture aims to serve a market of 4.5 billion people in Asia, Europe, India, the Middle East, and Africa by 2030.

Humain has secured contracts to supply Luma AI with the entire 100-megawatt capacity of the data center project. The joint venture, formed after U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to Riyadh, includes AMD and Cisco as minority shareholders. The companies plan to use renewable energy in construction, starting in 2026.

With a focus on AI technology, the joint venture will leverage AMD’s MI450 AI chips and Cisco’s networking equipment for the data center project. Cisco will utilize its salesforce to help sell capacity in the future data centers. The collaboration is a result of a $10 billion agreement between AMD and Humain, aiming for success in the growing market.
