Porsche unveils the 2026 Cayenne Electric SUV, boasting 1,139 horsepower, 0-60 mph in 2.4 seconds, and up to 1,106 foot-pounds of torque – the most powerful Porsche yet. The Turbo Electric model starts at $163,000, while the standard model begins at $109,000. The Cayenne EV features fast charging capabilities and optional wireless charging.

To achieve peak performance, the Cayenne EV requires a launch mode to be activated, offering up to 844 horsepower in normal driving mode. The vehicle comes with a 113 kilowatt-hour battery and 800-volt electrical architecture. Porsche is already taking orders for the Cayenne Electric, with deliveries expected to start next summer.

Porsche’s decision to offer the Cayenne EV comes after confirming a shift in EV plans to continue producing internal combustion and hybrid vehicles. The EV market in the U.S. has seen significant regulatory changes, including the end of consumer credits up to $7,500 for purchasing an EV. The Cayenne EV will join Porsche’s lineup alongside combustion-engine and plug-in hybrid models.

The 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric SUV marks Porsche’s third EV offering in the U.S., following the Taycan in 2019 and the Macan in 2024. Porsche CEO Oliver Blume emphasized the realignment of the company’s product strategy to adapt to the evolving automotive landscape. The Cayenne EV showcases Porsche’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the electric vehicle market.
