Enterprise Products Partners and ExxonMobil have agreed on the Bahia NGL pipeline expansion and joint interest acquisition. ExxonMobil will acquire a 40% interest in the 550-mile pipeline with an initial capacity of 600,000 barrels per day. The project is set to increase capacity to one million barrels per day by 2027.

Pipeline commissioning has started, with commercial operations to follow, transporting NGLs from West Texas to Mont Belvieu. The extension to ExxonMobil’s Cowboy plant in New Mexico will connect to Enterprise’s processing facilities in the Delaware Basin. The joint venture aims to support the growing NGL production in the Permian Basin.

The expansion project will connect ExxonMobil’s Permian Basin production to US Gulf Coast facilities. ExxonMobil sees this strategic investment as a way to enhance value for shareholders, strengthen its value chain, and improve logistics flexibility. ExxonMobil reported a net income of $7.5bn for the quarter ending in September 2025, a 12% decrease from the previous year.
