Tanya Berger-Wolf’s AI model, BioCLIP 2, can identify individual zebras and arrange species like Darwin’s finches by beak size. The model aims to address data deficiency in conservation biology and has been downloaded over 45,000 times. Berger-Wolf’s team used NVIDIA GPUs to train the model and plans to develop a wildlife digital twin for ecological research.
