The union, representing over 11,000 workers, is seeking contract revisions on hours, wages, and labor practices. Mediation and negotiations between Starbucks and the union have not been successful. Starbucks asserts readiness to serve customers during the holiday season. Previous strikes have impacted less than 1% of stores, with most remaining open.
