Soybeans closed lower on Wednesday, with front months down 15 to 17 ¼ cents. The national average Cash Bean price was $10.63 3/4. Soybean export bookings expected to be reported in a range of 0.6 to 1.6 MMT for the week of 10/2. USDA will release the delayed report on Thursday morning.

USDA reported 330,000 MT of soybeans sold to China and delayed Census data showed August exports at 2.273 MMT, a 3-year high. Soybean meal exports in August were at 1.336 MMT, a record but slightly down from July. ANEC estimates Brazilian soybean exports at 4.71 MMT in November.

Commitment of Traders data showed managed money increasing their net short in soybean futures by 9,410 contracts. Jan 26 Soybeans closed at $11.36 1/4, down 17 1/4 cents. Mar 26 Soybeans closed at $11.44 1/2, down 15 3/4 cents. May 26 Soybeans closed at $11.52 1/2, down 14 3/4 cents.
