T1 Energy Inc. Chairman and CEO Dan Barcelo met with U.S. Vice President JD Vance to discuss American energy and manufacturing at a policy conference in Washington, D.C. The company plans to start construction on the 2.1 GW first phase of its G2_Austin solar cell facility by year-end, with a projected cost of $400 million to $425 million. They raised capital through equity financing in October and aim to employ about 1,700 people. The company currently operates the G1_Dallas module facility in Texas and is building an integrated silicon-based supply chain to meet rising electricity demand. T1 Energy stock is trading 0.55% lower at $2.7100 on the NYSE.
