Standard Chartered Bank Korea (SCBK) has opened the Apgujeong Priority Private Centre in Seoul, providing wealth management services to clients with deposits of at least Won1bn ($680,000). This is SCBK’s first private banking facility in Korea and the 16th in its global network, strengthening its presence in the Korean market.
The Apgujeong centre features a lounge, reception area, 11 client consultation rooms, and a private vault, spanning six floors. A team of 22 relationship managers, supported by four specialists, will offer wealth management, succession planning, and tailored services to affluent clients. Renowned golf personality Pak Se-ri is the first client.
SCBK plans to open private banking centres in other cities like Busan, catering to affluent clients’ demands. CEO Lee Kwang-hee aims to provide higher financial solutions in the local market with global investment strategies. Standard Chartered is focused on personalized wealth management services for its Korean clientele.
