S&P Dow Jones Indices announced changes in the S&P SmallCap 600 and S&P 500, with Sandisk Corp. replacing The Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. in the S&P 500, and Upwork Inc. replacing Premier Inc. in the S&P SmallCap 600. Omnicom Group Inc. is acquiring IPG, while Patient Square Capital is acquiring Premier. Additionally, First Interstate BancSystem Inc. will replace Hanesbrands Inc. in the S&P SmallCap 600, following Gildan Activewear’s acquisition of Hanesbrands. These changes are set to take place by December 2.
