Volvo CE will build a new crawler excavator assembly plant in Eskilstuna, Sweden, producing up to 3,500 medium to large excavators annually. The $73.1m investment aims to enhance production capacity within Europe, reducing reliance on distant supply chains. Construction is subject to regulatory approval, with operations set to begin within two years.
