President Joe Biden is calling on major food manufacturers to stop shrinkflation and reduce the ongoing trend of shrinking products without decreasing prices, particularly in the snack category. A report from Pa. Sen. Bob Casey found that 41% of inflation increases are due to corporate profit-making. Despite declining inflation, prices for groceries remain high and have not come down. The Federal Reserve hinted that the worst of inflation may be behind the country.
