Commodities trader BB Energy has restructured its Houston office, laying off over a dozen employees, including oil traders. The company aims to focus on profitable areas of its core business and expand into new markets. BB Energy plans to shift some administrative functions from the US to Europe. Traders Alexander George and Dylan Laurin, along with renewable fuels specialist Trevor Plath, have left the firm. Distillate fuel traders Brendan Donahue and Nelson Rios Requena also departed recently. BB Energy, a top global commodities trading house, reported revenue of $23 billion last year.
