ComfortDelGro’s Chinese unit signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hello Robotaxi, backed by Alibaba, to collaborate on deploying commercial Robotaxi in China and overseas markets. The companies will manage services through ComfortDelGro’s operations and explore new business areas like car rental and battery swapping.

Hello Robotaxi, supported by big names like Alibaba and Ant Group, plans to start commercial operations in up to 10 cities by 2026. The collaboration aims to establish an intelligent dispatching system for a hybrid operational model, improving overall user experience in the transport ecosystem.

ComfortDelGro reported a 22.4% rise in third-quarter profit to $70.4 million, with group revenue increasing 12.9% to $1.33 billion compared to the previous year. In China, the company recorded $21.1 million in revenues. Shares were trading within the range of S$1.44 to S$1.45 on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
