Despite a slightly weaker near-term outlook, Home Depot remains a “long-term winner” in the retail sector. Same-store sales rose 0.1% year over year, with average ticket size increasing by 2%. Overall revenue grew 2.8% driven by new store openings and higher average ticket sizes.

Reflecting the trends observed in the quarter, Home Depot updates its guidance, expecting full-year revenue growth of roughly 3%. Previously anticipated same-store sales growth of 1% is now expected to be only “slightly positive.” Home Depot is a leading retailer of building materials, hardware, home improvement products, and related services.
