Swiss stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the SMI gaining 0.4% to end at 12,822.24. VAT Group surged almost 4%, while Galderma Group and ABB also saw gains. UBS Group, Swiss Re, and Swiss Life Holding gained between 1.1% to 1.3%. Kuehne + Nagel rose 1.2% after announcing a majority stake acquisition. Zurich Insurance, Julius Baer, Novartis, and others closed higher. However, Straumann Holding ended down by 2.17%. Swiss investor sentiment index climbed to 12.2 in November, the highest since January, despite current conditions index slipping to -4.9 from 0.0 in October.
