American Worldwide Agencies (AWA) has acquired UAC USA in an undisclosed deal effective Monday. AWA, based in Hawthorne, California, expands its coverage map as a neutral wholesaler connecting importers and exporters with global forwarders. The acquisition aims to strengthen AWA’s wholesale forwarding network and provide customers with increased capacity and frequent air departures.

AWA CEO Graham Burford stated the acquisition enhances the company’s physical footprint and operational capabilities to deliver reliable wholesale forwarding solutions. UAC International CEO Mark Kellett expressed confidence in AWA’s commitment to service excellence, assuring customers of a seamless transition and enhanced service levels. Freight tendered by UAC USA will operate under AWA starting Monday.

The deal excludes UAC’s Australian operations.
