Market volatility is pushing businesses to make faster investment decisions, with 66% moving more quickly due to uncertainty. 84% of companies are prioritizing technology and digital transformation, focusing on adopting AI. Workforce loyalty is also impacted, as 45% of executives would consider leaving if their employer fell behind in AI adoption.

72% of businesses are using AI in strategic decision-making, with cybersecurity threat identification, supply chain risk management, and automated regulatory compliance processes being the most common applications. Looking ahead, 85% of participants believe AI adoption will be essential for growth in the next three years.

Supply chain shifts are evident, with 59% of respondents redirecting activities to Latin America as the preferred alternative to China. EMEA is also seeing sourcing strategy changes. Regulatory concerns include new policies and tariffs/trade policy, with 32% noting hiring freezes or reductions due to trade uncertainty.

Vistra Americas executive vice president Jim Lee notes the shift of AI from a promising innovation to a vital factor in competitiveness. Despite compliance and data risks, falling behind in AI adoption is seen as a greater threat than economic slowdowns or regulatory changes.
