Soybean prices rose 7-9 cents on Wednesday, with the national average Cash Bean price at $10.61 1/2. Soymeal futures and Soy Oil futures also saw gains. The market will be closed on Thanksgiving, with a hard open on Friday. China purchased 10 cargoes of US soybeans for January shipment.

Commitment of Traders data revealed soybean speculators had a net short position of 391 contracts as of 10/14, with a slight increase during that week. Jan 26 Soybeans are at $11.33 1/4, Nearby Cash at $10.61 1/2, Mar 26 Soybeans at $11.42 1/2, and May 26 Soybeans at $11.52 1/4. No positions held by Austin Schroeder.
