Azets has added 384 graduates and school leavers to its UK business, a 15% increase in accountancy graduate recruitment compared to last year. The new hires will start in advisory positions, with a focus on using AI to automate tasks. The breakdown by region shows the majority in the South and North East & Yorkshire.

CEO Peter Gallanagh emphasized the importance of investing in new talent amidst industry cuts. Azets aims to use technology to enhance junior staff’s work, not replace them. By automating routine tasks, newer staff can focus on advisory work and progress quicker in their roles, adding more value to clients.

In addition to the new hires, Azets recently acquired Ensors, a chartered accountancy business in East Anglia, UK. The acquisition expands Azets’ service portfolio to include audit, tax, corporate finance, business recovery, and forensic accounting. The company’s focus remains on investing in talent and technology to meet client demand and enhance services.
