Tesla’s Cybertruck Faces Rust Problems

From Nasdaq:

Some Tesla Inc. Cybertruck owners have raised concerns about potential rust issues on the vehicle’s stainless steel exterior, despite Elon Musk’s claims of its durability during its launch.

User posts on cybertruckownersclub.com revealed rust specks appearing on the vehicle’s body just days after being exposed to rainy weather, leading to concerns about the Cybertruck’s maintenance and service.

A forum post from January shared maintenance instructions for the Cybertruck, highlighting the lack of clear coat and the need for prompt cleaning to prevent damage from various substances.

The pricing for the Cybertruck starts at $79,990, higher than Musk’s 2019 estimate, with only twin- and tri-motor variants currently available, and the base single-motor model anticipated to launch in the fall of 2025 at $60,990.
