European stocks saw slight gains as investors awaited key economic data and speeches from central bank officials. The Stoxx 600 edged up 0.2%, with the DAX up 0.3% and the CAC 40 and FTSE 100 slightly higher. Hugo Boss shares dropped over 10% while Inditex surged 7% on strong sales growth. Airbus rallied 2.4% after backing its full-year earnings view, while HSBC Holdings fell 1% after appointing a new Group Chair. Sainsbury’s also slumped 4% after Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund sold a stake in the supermarket group worth $352 million.
