US STOCKS-Wall Street ends higher, lifted by Uber, Lyft and Nvidia

Wall Street rose, driven by Lyft and Uber. Nvidia surpassed Alphabet as the third most valuable U.S. company with a market capitalization of $1.825 trillion. Uber’s share buyback and Lyft’s positive cash flow forecast fuelled cyber-interest. Meta Platforms and Tesla contributed to the S&P 500’s rise. The market feared a Fed rate cut due to higher than expected core consumer prices. Interest rate futures suggest the Fed will cut rates by June. Realising a fourth-quarter profit, Robinhood Markets rallied 13%. Leading the S&P 500, industrials and communication services saw gains of 1.67% and 1.42%, respectively. The S&P 500 posted 37 new highs and 4 new lows. US CPI. S&P 500 components reported 92 highs and 68 lows.
